Fellow Detention Officers and members of NCJAA, The summer is fast approaching, and it will be gone before you know it. If you haven’t taken time off, please think about scheduling time for yourself. Everyone needs time to refuel, rethink and regenerate.
In April, the board came in a day early prior to our board meeting to discuss the long-range plan for the organization. In doing this, we discussed ways to provide better education for the membership. Everyone had some great ideas and looks forward to implementing some of the ideas as early as the 2010 conference. The conference dates are September 28-October 1. In the past several years, we have sold out of our sleeping rooms at the host hotel. I encourage you to contact the Embassy Suites in Greensboro (336-668-4535) and make that hotel reservation.
